Privacy Policy

Last updated August 10, 2026.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your mobile number. We do not buy or rent contact lists. The only reason we hold your information is to answer the request you sent us.

Sterling Mold Inspections LLC ("Sterling," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to sterlingmold.com and to the inspection services we provide.

Information we collect

You give us information directly when you submit an inspection request or contact form:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Property details — the property address and city, property type, occupancy, and whatever you tell us about your concern, water history, or timeline.
  • Consent records — whether you agreed to be contacted, whether you opted in to text messages, the exact wording you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed. We keep this so we can demonstrate that any message we sent you was one you asked for.
  • Basic technical and attribution data — pages visited and UTM parameters, so we know which of our own pages actually help people.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information through this website. Please do not send medical records, financial account numbers, or government identification numbers through our forms.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your request, prepare an accurate quote, schedule and perform the inspection, deliver your report, bill for the work, and follow up about it. We also use aggregate, non-identifying usage data to improve the website. That is the complete list. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not feed it to third-party marketing systems.

Text messaging and mobile information

If you check the SMS opt-in box on one of our forms, you consent to receive text messages from us about your inspection — scheduling, confirmations and reminders, arrival notices, quotes, report delivery, and billing or balance-due notices. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any service from us.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services strictly on our behalf — such as the messaging platform that delivers the texts — and those parties are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by telling us in plain language by text, phone, or email — we honor either the same way. You can request support by replying HELP. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Full details are in our Text Messaging Terms.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that make the service work — for example, the platform that delivers our text messages, our email provider, the accredited laboratory that analyzes samples for Premium inspections, and our scheduling tools. Each receives only what it needs for that specific function, and none is permitted to use your information for its own purposes.

Referral partners. If your situation calls for work we do not perform — we are assessment-only and never sell remediation — we may pass your name, contact details, and the property location to a contracting partner so they can reach you, and only when you have asked us to make that introduction. We are not paid for your personal information, and we do not send your details to partners who have not been asked for.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers, lead-generation networks, or affiliates for marketing.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful — which pages people visit, roughly where they are in the world, and whether our forms are working. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on our behalf. We have disabled Google's advertising signals and ad-personalization features, so your visit here is not used to build an advertising profile or to retarget you elsewhere.

We do not run advertising retargeting pixels on this site, we do not sell analytics data, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on, or use your browser's tracking protection. Blocking analytics will not prevent you from using any part of the site or from contacting us.

Data retention

We keep inspection records, reports, and the consent records associated with them for as long as we may need them for legitimate business or legal purposes — a report can be relevant to a property dispute or claim years after it was written. Request information from people who never became clients is kept only as long as it is useful for following up, and is then deleted.

Security

This site is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections with strict transport security enforced, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to lead and report information is limited to Sterling personnel who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise — but we do not retain more of your information than the work requires, which is the most effective protection available.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, correction, deletion — request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message, or ask us directly.
  • Stop contact entirely — tell us and we will close the file and stop reaching out.
  • No sale of personal information — we do not sell it, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We do not require you to create an account or justify the request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging property services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle text messaging or mobile information will also be reflected in our Text Messaging Terms.
