Short answer

Commercial mold remediation brings the same containment, removal, and cleaning to offices, retail spaces, condo units, and common areas, planned around the people using the building. Sterling phases the work, keeps containment tight in occupied spaces, and documents it for owners, managers, and associations. Clearance comes from an independent assessor.

Also called: commercial mold removal, commercial mold abatement, business mold cleanup

What's included — and what isn't

Clear scope, honestly stated.

Included

  • A free walk-through estimate, or a quote to your assessor's protocol
  • A work plan that phases containment around occupied spaces
  • Evening and weekend scheduling where the building needs it
  • Containment and HEPA negative air
  • Removal of mold-damaged materials and HEPA cleaning
  • Documentation for owners, managers, and insurers

Not included

  • Buildings Sterling assessed in the last 12 months: Florida law bars it (§ 468.8419(1)(d))
  • Testing our own work: clearance comes from an independent assessor (§ 468.8419(2)(d))
  • Repairs to roofs, plumbing, HVAC, or finishes, which go to licensed trades or your contractor
If Sterling inspected this home in the last 12 months, Florida law bars us from remediating it, and if we remediate it, we can't run the clearance test. Both rules are in Florida Statute § 468.8419, and we follow them to the letter.

A calm, methodical process.

  1. Step 1: Walk through

We walk the space with the manager, note occupancy and access, and write the estimate.

  2. Step 2: Plan

We agree on a schedule and sequence that keeps the building running.

  3. Step 3: Contain

Containment and negative air go up area by area.

  4. Step 4: Remove & clean

Damaged materials come out, and surfaces are HEPA-cleaned.

  5. Step 5: Clear

An independent assessor tests each area before its containment comes down.

See what the eye can't

Thermal imaging reveals hidden moisture.

Drag the slider — infrared exposes the cold signature of moisture behind a wall that looks perfectly normal. It's the difference between guessing and knowing.

Commercial Mold Remediation — questions

Often, with phased containment and negative air keeping the work area separated. A small space where the growth is may need to close while it's worked on. We'll tell you at the walk-through.
